Product Description

High Voltage Gate Interface Board IS200FHVBG1A is part of the LS2100 Series produced by General Electric Industrial Systems. This model is used primarily for cell voltage monitoring and SCR gate interfaces. There are current sensors within the board that can detect whether the silicon-controlled rectifiers (SCRs) are blocking or conducting voltages. If SCR blocking voltage is detected the cell status data will be sent to the FGPA board and the FGPA board will then turn on the red C STAT LED. When this board is being mounted it will almost always be mounted within the Source Bridge Cabinet.

The IS200FHVBG1A model also has many different circuits embedded within the board. Within the Load Commutated Inverter, there must be one FHVB for every SCR. There are several potential hazards that can occur within the FHVB board, one of the potential hazards can be the FHVB experiencing overvoltage, if the model experiences overvoltage it can cause potential burns or shocks.
